How The Commuter's Briefing handles the information you share with us.

Last updated · 19 July 2026

The Commuter's Briefing ("we", "the imprint") publishes short Kindle books, runs this website and offers a small number of digital products directly through it. We take care with the information you give us, and collect only what we need to operate.

What we collect

When you subscribe to the dispatch, we take the email address you provide. When you write to the editor through the contact page, we take the name, email, subject and message you submit. We do not use third-party advertising networks, and we do not sell your information to anyone.

How we use it

Your email is used to send the dispatch — one letter a month — and to reply to your correspondence. Contact submissions are read by the editor and kept only as long as is needed to respond and to maintain a reasonable record of correspondence.

The Workday Reset

The Workday Reset is a structured self-reflection product completed on this website. Your diagnostic responses are processed to generate the personalised report you have requested. Until you choose to unlock the full report, your answers are stored locally in your own browser; they are sent to our server only as part of generating and recovering your report.

The Workday Reset is intended for individual use. Please do not enter confidential employer information, your salary, or the names of colleagues or managers. Your answers are not shared with employers, are not used to make employment decisions, and are not used for any purpose other than generating your report.

The Arrival Briefing

The Arrival Briefing is a short conversational tool. Your answers to a few questions are used to generate the briefing you have requested. Please do not enter confidential workplace information. Your answers are not shared with employers, are not used for any purpose other than generating your briefing, and are not used to make decisions about you.

Direct payments and Stripe

Certain digital products, including The Workday Reset and The Arrival Briefing, are sold directly through this website. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details. Stripe may process payment, billing and fraud-prevention information under its own privacy policy, available atstripe.com/privacy. We may receive information necessary to fulfil your purchase, such as the transaction status, a payment reference and, where you supply one, an email address.

Marketing consent is entirely separate from making a purchase. Buying a report does not subscribe you to any mailing list.

Kindle purchases

Briefings are bought through Amazon. Any transaction, payment and account information involved in a purchase is handled by Amazon under its own privacy policy; we do not receive or store your payment details.

Cookies and local storage

We use only the essential cookies required for the site to function, and we do not use advertising cookies. The Workday Reset also uses your browser's local storage to preserve your diagnostic progress and recovery access on your own device. See our Cookie Policy for detail.

Your rights

You may unsubscribe from the dispatch at any time using the link in any letter. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the information we hold about you by writing to editor@thecommutersbriefing.com.

Contact

Questions about this policy can be sent to editor@thecommutersbriefing.com. We will reply within a reasonable time.
